BerkShares may be spent at any of the partnering local businesses as cash. Request a Business Directory from the bank teller to start discovering participating businesses near you.

Federal dollars remain on deposit at the BerkShares Exchange Banks, allowing you to redeem BerkShares for US Dollars at the same exchange rate, minus a modest 1.5% fee.
