Hotchkiss Mobiles

The Gallery features a unique selection of American Crafts including jewelry, ceramics, glass and the mobiles designed by Joel Hotchkiss. The Workshop/Studio is open to the public daily for visitors to walk in and experience one of the most unique art spaces in America dedicated singly to the “art of mobile making”.

Hotchkiss Mobiles was founded by Joel Hotchkiss in Oakland, CA in 1981. His wife, Sandra joined in running the business in 1983. Over a 45 year span Joel has created a wide range of mobile designs for residential homes and gardens and commercial spaces. They are sold in Galleries and Museum Stores nationwide including the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. The Mobile Studio relocated to West Stockbridge, MA in 1993 in the Berkshire Hills where all our mobiles are currently created and on display.
